In August 2009, the congregation of First United Methodist of McAlester began fund raising efforts for the first phase of their relocation from their downtown Grand Avenue Campus to their Wesley Campus at S. 13th & MacArthur.

PHASE I: Family Life Center - $1 million estimated cost

With a high school-sized gymnasium, two-story youth space, stage, large cooking kitchen, smaller serving kitchen, and small reception area, the Family Life Center will house all sorts of ministries that presently cannot be offered at either of our existing campuses.

PHASE II: Education & Administrative Building - $1 million estimated cost

With the second phase we will gain classroom space for all ages and new office space for our pastors and staff. At this stage, Sunday worship could be held on the campus until the Sanctuary was completed.

PHASE III: Sanctuary - $1.5 million estimated cost

The sanctuary will complete the relocation process, providing additional gathering spaces, a covered drop-off, and seating for up to 400 members and guests.

OUTDOOR SPACES:

Outdoors spaces for relaxation, meditation, fellowship, and recreation are integral to the overall design of the new facility. A prayer garden, outdoor dining, and ball fields are all in the plans.
